The County Clerk is the record keeper of the County, from committee minutes to contracts, resolutions and ordinances. The County Clerk is tasked with staffing all County Board meetings and County Board committee meetings. Other duties include, but not limited to, apportionment of taxes, sale of tax delinquent property, sale of veteran memorial bricks, office supply acquisition for all County offices, publisher for Buffalo County Proceedings books and the County Directory.
The County Clerk’s Office is the first office you meet when you enter the Buffalo County Courthouse. We will help direct you to the department you are looking for and help direct you to the answers of any questions you may have.

Absentee voting is open now for the April Presidential Preference Primary and Spring Election. With current conditions it is strongly encouraged to vote absentee during this election cycle.

Spring General Election
2020 will be a busy election year for voters of Buffalo County. The spreadsheet in the attached link will show which offices will be up for election at the Spring Primary on February 18, 2020 and the Spring Election on April 7, 2020. This document will be updated as candidate information is submitted to the Buffalo County Clerk, Roxann Halverson.
At this time the candidates for Presidential Preference Primary, to be held April 7, 2020, have not been determined. Those names will be added once they are known.
