
What
is the Energy Assistance Program?
The
Energy Assistance Program is a seasonal program to help low income
people in paying their heat bill. The Buffalo County Benefit
Specialist takes applications for people that are 60 years of age or
older or disabled. Home visits can also be done, if a person is
basically homebound. For people that are younger than 60,
applications are taken at the Department of Health and Human Services.

can I schedule an appointment for energy assistance?
You
can schedule an appointment with the Benefit Specialist or the
Department of Health and Human Services by calling 608-685-4412 from
October 1 to May 1 each year.
