What is the Energy Assistance Program?

The Energy Assistance Program is a seasonal program to help low income people in paying their heat bill.  The Buffalo County Benefit Specialist takes applications for people that are 60 years of age or older or disabled.  Home visits can also be done, if a person is basically homebound.  For people that are younger than 60, applications are taken at the Department of Health and Human Services.
