According to the CDC most adults needs 7-9 hours of sleep each night.

When people are not getting enough sleep each night, it can lead to consequences such as poor motor skills, difficulty retaining information and trouble concentrating.

The CDC recommends the following sleeping tips to help get a better nights sleep:

  • Go to bed at the same time each night and rise at the same time each morning.
  • Moderate physical activity may help promote sleep, but avoid vigorous exercise in the few hours before going to bed.
  • Avoid large meals before bedtime. 
  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol close to bedtime.
  • Avoid nicotine
